Scotland’s First Minister Tours Supply Technologies’ Customer Allied Vehicles

Scotland’s First Minister Nicola Sturgeon saw how Supply Technologies’ supply management solutions delivers productive operations during a tour of Allied Vehicle’s facility in Glasgow.

During the visit to the vehicle conversion specialist’s extensive premises Ms Sturgeon was shown the production line workshops where Allied build specialist taxis.

Allied is a leading manufacturer of adapted and special purpose vehicles, ranging from mobility vehicles to ambulances and taxis, and employs more than 700 workers. Supply Technologies provides components required for the taxi conversions utilising the Kanban system.

The kanban system ensures component stocks never fall below agreed levels and use barcode scanning across the multi-bin racking, utilised to trigger replenishment from Supply Technologies’ extensive stockholding.
